Illinois Earthquake
A 4.3 earthquake hit the city of Chicago Illinois on February 10, 2010. It is still unkown whether or not there were any casualties. Very little damage is expected because of the magnitude of the earthquake, but I'm sure it was still a freightening experience for the citizens of Chicago. Especially with the devistating results of the earthquake that struck Haiti. Many people reported being shaken out of bed by the rumbles only to wake up to 6 to 9 inches of snow outside! Talk about waking up on the wrong side of the bed! On a serious note,my heart goes out to all of the people effected by these terrible incidents. This may or may not be the last earthquake to hit the area in the near future. Very little is known about the fault system near Illinois as other regions where earthquakes are more common.
