Cavs Make Critical Trade At The Deadline

The Cleveland Cavaliers reshaped their roster with multiple moves at the NBA trade deadline. The Cavs started their day, Feb. 8, by trading Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and a 2018 first round draft pick to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. Nance is a familiar name in C-Town, where his father starred for the Cavs some 30 years ago. Cavs general manager Koby Altman says the younger Nance was in "borderline tears" when he learned he was coming home to Ohio. Cleveland also acquired Utah's Rodney Hood and Sacramento's George Hill in a three-team swap. Finally, they shipped Dwayne Wade back to the Miami Heat, the team he helped lead to three NBA championships. Altman told reporters the trades will address the third-place Cavs' "lack of energy and enthusiasm." He says they're going to be fun again. But can they make it back to the NBA Finals again? We'll find out.
